CHARG is now Heartland Mental Health!

New name. Same supportive community of peers.

Come visit us at the David Quarton Drop-In Center!

We are excited to share the news that our boards of directors recently voted to change our name from CHARG Resource Center to Heartland Mental Health.

The name Heartland Mental Health was chosen because of our history. You may or may not know that our official/legal name is HEART of Boardwalk, where the HEART stands for:

Healing,
Empowerment, and
Advocacy for a
Richer
Tomorrow.

More Details about the Name Change

  • We are not changing who we are, what we do, or who we serve.

  • CHARG stands for ‘Capitol Hill Action & Recreation Group.’ While this is an important part of our history, we are licensed by the state of Colorado to provide outpatient, mental health services and we want to make sure people are aware of all the programs and services we offer.

  • Heartland Mental Health was suggested by a member of ours, and the new logo concept was also designed by a member.

  • Bottom line: we want to help more people. Right now, we are not at full capacity. We believe that this change will help build awareness, and people find us online easier.

Thank you for your continued support of our mission and our members!
