About the Book

Welcome to Heartland is a collaboration between clinic members and professional artists to express positive and negative aspects of their mental health journeys. Members describe an aspect of their mental health through sketches, diagrams, and labels as collaboration “conversation” with an artist! The completed book will include both depictions as well as written passages describing these experiences.
